Without a burning desire to perform for his corporate job, Colin decided to go all in on himself.
That runs counter to the traditional example of following a well worth path. But it worked well for Colin as he had a goal of being financially independent, rather than being just a worker for a company.
He has a passionate approach to educating younger folks about how to use, leverage, and responsibly manage credit. Rapidly growing from 1k, to 38k, and now over 100k followers on Instagram he's learned lessons through mistakes and been able apply the lessons from mentors in his life.

E97 - How to grow by keeping it simple - Rollors CEO Matt Butler
Tuesday Jan 28, 2020
Tuesday Jan 28, 2020
It's just a ball.
You roll it. Can't be that complicated.
Why would someone even part with their hard-earned dollars to buy a ball rolling game?
Well, Matt and his team at Rollors have over 600 wholesale accounts after designing the game out of his garage. Obviously, there's more to the game than simply rolling a piece of wood. He's had to learn how to manage vendors, contracting language and inventory management, as well keeping up with demand.
Matt Butler talks to us about his first wholesale account and how he had to learn how to grow his business by first not knowing what a wholesale account even was. Not knowing what a UPC code was and how to get one, how "packaging" leads to reorders from retailers, and educating the public on what the game is were challenges he had to overcome in order to get the traction he needed.

E95 - How to put out an "Office Fire" with Author Pete Havel
Tuesday Jan 14, 2020
Tuesday Jan 14, 2020
Office Politics literally can shut the doors to your business.
Pete Havel's experiences with "arsonists" will make you feel like you're watching an episode of "The Office". If only we all had a Michael Scott to run things, or a film crew to capture the laughs and awkward moments that make up our days. Pete joins Knucklehead for a quick peek into the times that have led to a valuable framework and process. That system and experience led to the book, The Arsonist in the Office, we discuss today.
The Arsonist in the Office is your survival guide for enduring the toxic workplace (and toxic people) and a call to action for a bold new approach to addressing tough issues. If you have ever led an organization or participated on a team and felt completely frustrated by the sabotage of another colleague, leader, or even client, this book is for you. Leaders, colleagues and organizations across the world have adopted this new movement - to not just "create" a great culture but to protect it. Building a great culture is always a worthy goal but fireproofing it - is just as important. Check out more below:

Podcasts are free, right? Does that mean you should have one? Should your company?
Let me tell you what is also free - YouTube. Working Out. Listening. But, do you know how to leverage any of those for your benefit? Oddly enough, folks that are wanting to learn how to monetize a channel they haven't mastered yet is the first question I hear from people wading into these waters as they're evaluated ways to grow their business.
Tom should be one of the first calls you make or people to connect with when you're looking to grow your brand/presence/voice in a digital sense. His background in engineering, the Navy, as well as public relations will make your experience a fun one, a learning experience, and one you'll profit from. E93 - How to "Screw the Commute" with Tom Antion
Monday Jan 13, 2020
Monday Jan 13, 2020
Digital Marketing. Brand Awareness. Content Strategy.
These topics and more usually precede someone about ready to fleece your pocketbook, with very little reporting against their efficacy. Don't get me wrong, those phrases do carry meaning and there are some very experienced tacticians out there that are worth their weight in gold, just not as many that are in your Facebook Sponsored Ad Feed.
Tom Antion is one of those that you'd want to ensure you're paying attention to when you're looking at working with someone that offers you their service or product. He's leveraged in-person events for his business, perfected back of the room salesmanship, even been invited to the our Nation's Capital for his work with the MilSpouse community and remote careers for those interested in being educated.

E92 - How to hit the target, even when your aim is off - Casoro Group CEO Yuen Yung
Thursday Dec 26, 2019
Thursday Dec 26, 2019
When you strike a deal on Shark Tank, most would call that a career milestone and believe they've reached the summit. Yuen Yung had already gone through the business ownership process three separate times by the time him and his brother's fast-casual sushi restaurant concept had reached a deal with a shark. That unique experience in business, as well as in life, Yuen had been able to address one of the biggest challenges entrepreneurs face, and that is "Don't ever fall in love with the businesses you create."
As an entrepreneur and looking at your career from that perspective, Yuen evaluates his businesses with criteria that makes it clear on how that business can serve a purpose, make the world better, and can make some money. Developing that perspective, Yuen was able to weather the storm of losing close to six-figures in a board game business (one of his first), and even as they tested the process and how the market viewed their product, even with some high praise, only to have the game not sell.

E91 - How to build a business in a foreign country, Spokes Jewelry Founder Greg Boudah
Wednesday Dec 18, 2019
Wednesday Dec 18, 2019
So, you're looking for jewelry.
And, naturally you walk into a jewelry store to find what you're looking for.
You leave with a ring, diamond and the hope that she says "Yes!".
Only to find out that you've overpaid by 300%, bought a faulty piece of jewelry and to add insult to injury the relationship went south.
Sure, there's better ways to learn an industry. But, when you look at the bumps that Spokes Jewelry and The Jewelry Republic Founder Greg Boudah had to experience, it laid the groundwork for the success that he's enjoying in Bangkok, Thailand today. Humble beginnings, strict discipline hardened after a decade in his beloved Marine Corps, has generated experiences where the some of the largest retailers on the planet trust Greg with their precious metals, jewels and custom work.
Check out the quality and learn how mistakes have uncovered a "diamond in the rough" from Greg:
